Important Information about LA Comic Con 2018
Note that due to the Rock ‘N’ Roll 5K and Half Marathon taking place in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, October 28, there will be many road closures that morning, lasting from 5:30am to 10:45am. Click here for road closure information.
Parking fills up very early. If possible, you may want to take the train in, as there is a train stop just a block away from the convention center. Check out the websites of Metro, Metrolink, and Amtrak for train schedules.
You’ll also probably want to go early to avoid long lines to pick up your badge. You can even get your badge a day early on Thursday. Yes, you can pick up badges for other people, as long as you have their printed ticket or QR code on your phone. The badge pickup times are as follows:

If you’ve never been to this event before, you should know that the Main Stage has very limited seating, and is mostly standing room only, so that anyone can walk up and watch whoever is on stage.

Don’t forget to check out the GeekFest film festival, where you can watch and vote on your favorite films! The event will feature over 30 amazing science fiction, horror, fantasy and fan films to satiate every geek fandom.
The fan-owned entertainment company Legion M will have a Fan Oasis at Booth #1240, where it will have a VR experience, a costume exhibit, Scum and Villainy pop-up bar and themed drinks, a Stargate photo booth, and its own programming. Click here for more details and for the schedule.

Friday, October 26 at LA Comic Con
You can pick up your badge as early as 9:00am, though the show doesn’t open until 1:00pm. There isn’t as much programming on Friday as on the other days, and will only be located on the Main Stage and Legion M’s Fan Oasis.

4:30pm – Le Geek So Chic Fashion Show, Main Stage
7:00pm – Tenacious D Presents Post-Apocalypto: Tenacious D, comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, will be taking to the Main Stage for a 45 minute Q&A moderated by Colin Hanks – AND they’ll be showing clips of the series along with a fun “character analysis” segment.
Following the Tenacious D panel, there will be a free screening of the full Post-Apocalypto film, with a private intro and Q&A with Jack Black and Kyle Gass. Click here to enter the lottery for your chance to attend the screening.
Saturday, October 27 at LA Comic Con
This is definitely going to be the busiest day at LA Comic Con. Badge pickup starts at 7:00am, though the show doesn’t open until 9:30am. Saturday will have talent available for autographs and photo ops, including Danny Trejo, Ryan Hurst, Brett Dalton, Katie Cassidy, and many more. Just a reminder that there is usually a fee for autographs and photo ops. You can pre-purchase autographs and photo ops for most of the guests, or you can purchase at the show. Note that some stars are only available on Saturday, while others are only available on Sunday, so plan accordingly.

Sunday, October 28 at LA Comic Con
Doors on the final day of LA Comic Con open at 9:30am, but you can pick up your badge as early as 8:00am if you haven’t gotten it yet. Stars will be signing autographs and doing photo ops, but remember, some guests are only available on Saturday, while others are only available on Sunday, so check the schedule and plan accordingly. It’s a shorter day than Saturday, with the show ending at 5:00pm.
Children 12 and under are invited to trick-or-treat 12:00pm – 2:00pm. All vendor booths will have candy!
Kids 12 and under are also invited to participate in the Kids Halloween Costume Contest at 2:00pm. Registration starts at 11:00am next to the Main Stage on a first come, first served basis.
