Important Information about LA Comic Con 2023
Parking fills up very early, so you will want to arrive early. If possible, you may want to take the train in, as the Pico station is just a block away from the Los Angeles Convention Center. Check out the websites of Metro, Metrolink, and Amtrak for train schedules.
You’ll also probably want to go early to avoid long lines to pick up your badge. You can pick up badges for other people, but only if they are 15 and under. Otherwise, badges must be transferred to the badge owner, and the badge owner must be present to pick up their badge. The badge pickup times are as follows:
Friday, December 1 12:30pm-8:30pm
Saturday, December 2 7:30am-6:30pm
Sunday, December 3 8:00am-4:00pm
Will you be cosplaying? Make sure to read the Prop & Weapons Policy so that you know ahead of time what is and is not allowed.
Are you an aspiring comic book artist? Marvel Comics’ talent scout Rickey Purdin will be performing portfolio reviews! If you would like to be considered for a portfolio review, you’ll need to drop off your portfolio copies at Room 509 on Friday, December 1 from 4pm-8pm or Saturday, December 2 from 9:30am-6:00pm, then check back the next morning after drop off to see if you have been selected. Click here for more information about the Marvel Comics Portfolio Review.
This year, LA Comic Con will take place in both the South Hall and the West Hall. Most of the exhibitors, including Artist Alley, as well as the Main Stage, will be located in the South Hall, while the West Hall will feature gaming and anime, as well as its own stage for panels.
If you’ve never been to this event before, one thing you need to know is that the Main Stage has very limited seating (typically limited to those with disabilities), and is mostly standing room only, so that anyone can walk up and watch whoever is on stage. That is, unless you’re VIP, in which case you have elevated seating reserved for you a bit further away from the stage.
To see the South Hall and West Hall Floor Maps, as well as the list of exhibitors, you’ll need to download the LA Comic Con app.
Click here to view the full list of guests who will be appearing at LA Comic Con and check out LA Comic Con’s FAQ for other important information.
