If you went to San Diego Comic-Con 2014, you’ll probably remember how Comic-Con International kept reminding you to keep your SDCC 2014 badge, saying that you would need it to participate in Preregistration for SDCC 2015. Well, hopefully you still have yours handy, because the time has come for you to put that 2014 badge into play! Read on for all the details.
On September 2, Comic-Con International updated their website, as well as their Toucan Blog, and sent out emails to 2014 San Diego Comic-Con attendees with important information regarding Preregistration for SDCC 2015. Basically, they let us know that SDCC 2015 Preregistration will occur sometime in November, and that in order to be eligible for it, you must validate your SDCC 2014 badge by October 15.
All you have to do to “validate” your badge is log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account, click on the “Registration Info” tab, then click on the link where it says “Click here to validate your Comic-Con 2014 badge ID to be eligible for Comic-Con 2015 Attendee Preregistration!” and finally, enter the 10-character badge ID, located near the bottom of your Comic-Con 2014 Attendee Badge.
If you don’t complete this task by October 15, then you can’t participate in Preregistration, so it would be wise to go do that right now before you forget about it! Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until Open Online Registration at a later date.
CCI’s website update also alerted us to pricing for next year’s Comic-Con. Preview Night stayed the same price at $35, but Thursday, Friday, and Saturday each increased from $45 to $50, and Sunday increased from $30 to $35. That means the total cost for a 4-day badge plus Preview Night went up from $200 for 2014 to $220 for 2015. For comparison’s sake, the total price was $175 in 2013.
Below are the emails that CCI sent out, the first of which is regarding general Preregistration, and the second of which addresses Preregistration for children.

November can’t come soon enough
I’ve never been to Comic-Con and not sure when I’ll be able to. 🙁
Were there Star Wars giveaways?
At Comic-Con? We don’t remember seeing any, but there’s so much free swag passed out by so many different companies that it’s entirely possible.
I’ve always wanted to go to Comic-Con!! Hopefully one day I’ll be able to go 🙂
