The programming schedule for Silicon Valley Comic Con 2018 has been released! We’ve had our eye on this convention since it first began in 2016, and we will finally be attending for the first time this year!
This year’s Silicon Valley Comic Con takes place Friday, April 6 through Sunday, April 8 in San Jose, California at the San Jose Convention Center, the same place it has been located for the past two years.
What’s so unique about SVCC? Well, according to the SVCC website: Silicon Valley Comic Con brings together America’s two greatest superheroes: Pop Culture and Technology. Presented by Steve Wozniak and featuring top celebrities, comics, independent artists, cosplay, video games, consumer electronics, music and apps, Silicon Valley Comic Con is where entertainment and our electronic worlds intersect.
Here are just a few of the highlights from the SVCC programming schedule:
- Friday, April 6, 7pm-9pm, Room 220BC – Everybody’s Wookie’n for the Weekend: A STAR WARS Special Event, featuring Mads Mikkelsen (Galen Erso), Ian McDiarmid (Palpatine), Ray Park (Darth Maul), Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett), Daniel Logan (young Boba Fett) and moderated by Gary Whitta (co-writer, ROGUE ONE: A Star Wars Story). Immediately following the panel, there will be nonstop surprise Star Wars celebrations throughout the night! Cosplay, trivia, music, prizes, special performances and more!
- Saturday, April 7, 10:30am-11:30am, Room 220BC – Pursuing the Extraordinary: A Keynote Conversation with Astronaut Dr. Mae Jemison, the first woman of color in space, Introduced by Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek)
- Saturday, April 7, 1:30pm-2:30pm, Room 220BC – Spotlight on the Legendary Stan Lee
- Sunday, April 8, 12:30pm-1:30pm, Room 220BC – Spotlight on the 10th Doctor, David Tennant
