WonderCon will take place Friday, April 18 through Sunday, April 20 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Badges for WonderCon Anaheim 2014 went on sale February 14, but certain badge types have sold out! Additionally, some of the hotels have sold out, so a new hotel has been added! Read on for more information.
Badge Update
On the evening of Thursday, March 20, although there was no official announcement from WonderCon, we noticed that Saturday badges were sold out, but that 3-Day badges were still available. That was odd, because usually the 3-Day badges sell out first. Knowing that a sellout of the 3-Day badges wasn’t far behind, we tweeted this information to our followers and posted it on our Facebook and GooglePlus pages, telling them to get 3-Day badges before it was too late.
Sure enough, shortly after noon on Friday, March 21, WonderCon announced on its Twitter and Facebook accounts that both Saturday and 3-Day badges were sold out.
Friday and Sunday badges are still available, but don’t wait too long to get those! Last year, Friday badges sold out on the Friday of WonderCon (back when there were still onsite sales, which there are NOT this year), and will probably sell out much earlier this year, so don’t delay!
Below you will find information about purchasing badges:
Adult
3-Day Badge: $50 (SOLD OUT)
1-Day Badge Friday or Saturday: $25 (SATURDAY SOLD OUT)
1-Day Badge Sunday Only: $15
Junior (Age 13 and up); U.S. Military/Senior*
3-Day Badge: $25 (SOLD OUT)
1-Day Badge Friday or Saturday: $13 (SATURDAY SOLD OUT)

* Seniors (60 years or older) pay the U.S. military/senior reduced price. Active U.S. Military with ID can pay the military/senior price. This does not extend to dependents.
Note that badges are available for purchase online only, and will not be available for purchase on site!
You will need a Comic-Con Member ID to purchase your badge. If you do not already have one, click here to register for a Member ID. Once you have your Member ID, click here to purchase your WonderCon Anaheim 2014 badge.
Hotel Update
If you’re planning on booking a hotel for WonderCon, you should do that soon. Originally, WonderCon only included three hotels: the Anaheim Marriott, the Hilton Anaheim, and the Clarion Hotel. The Anaheim Marriott Hotel and the Hilton Anaheim have rooms available for $119/night, while the Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort have standard rooms available for $99/night, and studio suites for $119/night.
However, as of the publication date of this article, the WonderCon rate is sold out for Friday, April 18 at the Marriott, Hilton, and Clarion Hotels, and for Saturday, April 19 at the Marriott and Clarion Hotels. Therefore, WonderCon has added a fourth hotel, the Anabella Hotel, which has rooms available for $119/night.
[4/7/14 UPDATE ] The WonderCon rate is now completely sold out for Friday, April 18 through Sunday, April 20 at the Marriott, Hilton, and Clarion Hotels. It is also sold out for Friday, April 18 at the Anabella Hotel. However, WonderCon has added a fifth hotel, Hotel Indigo Anaheim, which has rooms available for $119/night.
[4/10/14 UPDATE] The Anabella Hotel is now sold out for Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.
[4/12/14 UPDATE] All of the hotels are completely sold out of the WonderCon discount rate, except Hotel Indigo, which only has Sunday, April 20 available. You might still be able to book a room online directly with some of the hotels, but they’re going fast, and you’ll have to pay full price, which is currently $239/night at Hilton, $219/night at Clarion, $203.95/night at Anabella, and $156.58/night at Hotel Indigo. Marriott has no rooms available.

Will you be making it out to WonderCon Anaheim this year? Were you able to get your 3-Day or Saturday badges before they sold out? Have you been before, or will this be your first time? Let us know in the comments below!
going to a WonderCon is on my bucket list…I’ve only been to my local comic-con in Baltimore…any chance you guys can do podcast/vidcast for those unable to attend? please?
We probably will not be able to do a podcast or vidcast, unfortunately. But we will post pictures and summaries about the panels we attend. If you want video, you should check out our friend Shawn’s website, http://www.theconfluencecovers.com – he goes to tons of comic conventions and posts videos of every single one! He will be at WonderCon.
I would love to go the Wondercon some day. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven by the convention center while going to Disneyland. I live about 5 hours drive from Anaheim, but that’s not that far for something as great as this.
